At the time of pressing need of environmental sustaibability and reduction of carbon emissions, VCR is committed to a strategic transition from fossil fuel vehicles to Electric Vehicles. This initiative aims not only to align with global sustainability goals but also to meet the evolving prefrences of environmentally-conscious consumers. By adopting a systematic and holistic approach to transitioning to Electric Vehicles, VCR is poised to play a pivotal role in decarbonising the environment and promoting sustainable practices within the industry. This strategic shift not only aligns with global environment goals but also positions VCR as a leader in providing eco-friendly transportation solutions for the future.


1. Fleet Selection:

  • Since the year 2009, VCR gradually phased out Petrol engine vehicles and inducted low emission vehicles using Compressed Natural Gas. In the year 2023, VCR introduced Evs into the fleet.
  • By 2024, VCR will have 100% EV and Hybrid vehicle fleet and phase out all the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE).

2. Car Maintenance:

  • VCR implements a OEM maintenance schedule to optimise fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emission.
  • Use eco-friendly and recycled materials for vehicle maintenance.

3. Paperless Operations:

  • By introducing a web and mobile application, VCR encourage online reservations, check-ins, and billing to reduce paper usage.
  • Provide electronic rental agreements and invoicing.

4. Waste Reduction:

  • Implemented a recycling program at rental locations.
  • Minimise the use of disposable items in offices and vehicles.

5. Community Initiatives:

  • VCR actively participate in local environmental initiatives and community projects.
  • VCR sponsors or support green events in the local areas of operaitons.

6. Employee Training:

  • Train staff on environmentally friendly practices.
